Where is the New York Times Index?
The Library no longer subscribes to the print version of the New York Times Index. However, the Library has two ProQuest databases that index and provide complete articles from the New York Times. For current articles use the database New York Times (ProQuest). To find this go to the Library's website, select Articles & More, then click on the letter N and select New York Times (ProQuest). To find older articles (beginning in Sept. 1851 when the New York Times was first published) select the database ProQuest Historical Newspapers. Click on the letter P in the alphabetical list to locate this.
If you want to search both of these databases together select ProQuest News & Newspapers, click on Change located in the dark blue banner across the top of the screen. Select New York Times and ProQuest Historical Newspapers: The New York Times. Then click on Use selected databases.
