Q. I completed by Master's degree at Kean University many years ago. Why does my Master's thesis not appear in the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses database?

Kean University no longer maintains a physical collection of Master's theses. During the mid-2000s, the library transferred its collection of bound theses to ProQuest for inclusion in the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global database. All theses that were shelved in the library's collection at that time were included in the transfer.

Because some academic departments at Kean did not require students to submit a bound Master's thesis to the library, the collection was not necessarily comprehensive. Therefore, the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global database does not provide access to every Master's theses written by Kean students over the years.

Kean's academic departments also do not retain archival copies of completed Master’s theses.
