Many print encyclopedias are shelved in the Reference Collection on the second floor of the Nancy Thompson Learning Commons, where you will find subject-focused resources like Encyclopedia of Aging and Public Health, Encyclopedia of Educational Psychology, Encyclopedia of Juvenile Justice, and many more. These specialized encyclopedias provide helpful introductory articles on topics related to specific subject areas.

The Nancy Thompson Learning Commons also has a number of online encyclopedias, including the general encyclopedias Britannica Online and Britannica Spanish Reference Center. Online subject encyclopedias include Encyclopedia of Social Work, and many others may be accessed through Gale eBooks and SAGE Knowledge.
